Upper Case revamps to better market its capabilities
Upper Case has undergone a major exterior re-vamp of its premises located on Popes Quay, Cork. The makeover was undertaken to underpin and strengthen the company’s brand image in line with a significant rise in demand for large-format output over the last six months in POS and outdoor signage, particularily mesh banners. Upper Case has identified a niche market in large-format output for bars, restaurants and retail outlets and the decision to invest in this project was also aimed at showcasing its capabilities in this area.
Kieran Hoare, managind director of Upper Case, said: “Upper Case decided to take the lead with its own premises and show the business community what could be achieved using mesh banners. The building was painted in the company’s corporate colours, orange and black, and new signage erected which comprised wooden lettering, designed by Upper Case’s graphic design department and manufactured and installed by Cork Signs. The mesh banners which were printed, eyeleted, seamed and finished by Upper Case completed the job, and tell passers by on a busy thoroughfare exactly what the company can do.”
In tandem with the re-vamp Upper Case also undertook a “top to bottom” restructuring of the company to ensure that its business was sufficiently strengthened going forward through difficult times and Hoare believes that the future now looks bright for the company and its ten employees.
“Point of sales and outdoor work is emerging as the key growth area,” added Hoare. “By indentifying specialist areas in outdoor large-format, Upper Case has to a degree re-invented itself in new industry sectors. I am very happy with the way things are going now.”
