Colorman extends its digital print hub facility with a HP Designjet L25500
Colorman (Ireland) has taken delivery of a HP Designjet L25500 60in printer to increase production capability at its digital print hub set up at the end of last year to cater for the digital print requirements of many of its clients in the UK, Europe, America and Ireland.
Based in Broombridge, Dublin 11, the company employs nearly 150 people in a 12,000m2 facility covering manufacturing, storage and distribution where it specialises in the provision of general print, print management and pharmaceutical and healthcare printing as well as producing cartons for the pharmaceutical, healthcare, cosmetics, software and high-tech industrial sectors.
It is expected that the HP Designjet L25500 will be used initially to produce indoor posters and banners for a number of blue chip clients particularly in the retail financial sector. Given that Colorman is primarily a litho based house a key decision in the choice of machine appears to be its ability to print on a wide range of substrates, including coated media and low-cost papers without treatments which will meet its clients’ branding requirements and offer the extra benefit of environmentally friendly prints.
The company also provides a fully kitted pick and pack, assembly and fulfilment service for its customers so the HP Designjet L25500 which boasts easy post-print production with prints that come off the printer dry and ready for lamination, packaging, and shipping should certainly fit nicely into this scenario for the company.
Colorman’s digital hub was initially set up with a HP 7 Colour Indigo 7000 press, a perfect binding unit, booklet making machinery and off-line UV varnishing. The addition of the HP Designjet L25500 LFP will now enhance and increase this facility and extend the range of services it can offer clients for short run digital indoor signage applications.
