New cutter at Print Solutions
Print Solutions has installed an RG-3300V roll slitting machine from Robart International at its premises in The Western industrial estate, Dublin. The new slitter will take up to 3.2m wide rolls on cores from 3in to 6in and will slit to any size to enhance its materials supply capability.
“The companies current slitter is quite a number of years old now,” said Ian Schuler, director of Print Solutions. “It can’t easily accommodate 3m and 3.2m width rolls so the RG-3300V will give us much more flexibility and a better service offering for the market.
“This new slitter is very precise and comes with a computer sharpened blade”, added Schuler. It’s ideal for the product range that Print Solutions sells, such as self adhesive vinyls, reflexives, window graphic films, banner materials, foam, digital paper, digital print textiles, application tapes etc. Flexibility over what we had before is really the key point here. Robart is a very well-known manufacture of slitters and with the RG-3300V the company can now cut both 3in and 6in cores, up to 3.2m in width. This means Print Solutions can now offer customers a much greater flexibility in terms of bespoke cut sizes.”
