McGowan’s rolls out Christmas at the Carphone Warehouse
McGowan’s has once again demonstrated its ability to handle high profile POS jobs by recently completing a full Christmas makeover of all 76 Carphone Warehouse outlets in Ireland. The work involved counter and window vinyls in various sizes with a unique metallic colour on some of the displays.
McGowan’s MD Tony Roe said: “One particular piece of POS that was produced was metallic silver and it was considered the most eye-catching piece of POS that The Carphone Warehouse had ever had in any outlet when McGowan’s initially ran tests in one of its stores. The spot colour was produced by making a multitude of screens and applying to the CMYK prints on the :M-Press. The smaller pieces were printed on the Roland DG Soljet Pro III XC-540 with its spot colour facility.”
The Carphone Warehouse work entailed counter vinyls, 5m long x 1m deep, printed on white vinyl with spot silver and cmyk with a gloss over laminate applied for easy application and durability. The window vinyls were 3m x 1.m, this time printed in reverse on clear vinyl with cmyk plus spot silver. This was backed up with die-cut white to add impact on the image.
