Showing applications attracts crowd in Finland

More than 500 printers, print-buyers, students and marketers attended the second Serpa event in Helsinki, Finland, a two-day exhibition and seminar programme exclusively focussing on applications and run by Fespa member association, the Finnish Association of Screen and Special Printing. The theme of ‘See, Feel, Touch’ encouraged visitors to attend demonstrations, discover innovative print samples and advertising opportunities. “The concept of the show is innovative in itself, with no machinery on display. It was very well received and we’ve had positive feedback,” said Regina Aas, managing director of Serpa.

During the event, a seminar programme featured speakers including Andreas Skantze, owner, Big Image Systems, who spoke on the topic ‘Price is not an issue’. Other speakers included Fespa board member, Christian Duyckaerts, owner of Print and Display, Belgium, who discussed ‘Innovation in instore and outdoor communication’ and Professor Petri Parvinen from Aalto University, Finland, who spoke on ‘Different business activity models and selling processes’.
