Call for entries to first Sign and Digital UK Awards

Graphic display companies, signmakers, manufacturers and suppliers are being urged to enter the inaugural Sign and Digital UK Awards. There are ten categories in all and the focus is on rewarding both the creative and business aspects of the industry.

Rudi Blackett, the show’s event director said: “We are very excited to launch the Sign and Digital UK Awards and Networking Event this year. Exhibitors and visitors attending the show will now also have the perfect opportunity to network and socialise with business contacts and colleagues and entertain customers as well as coming together to celebrate the high level of skill, innovation and creative flair apparent in our industry today.”

    The ten awards categories are:

    Best Wide-Format Printing Company

    Best Wide-Format Print Project

Best New Use Of Wide-Format Print

    Best Vehicle Wrapping Project

    Best Textile Print Project

    Best Individual Sign Project

    Best Multiple Sign Project

    Green Award

    Rising Star Award

    Best Sign Company

All entries will be judged by a panel of experts and the judges will be looking in detail at the methods used and creativity demonstrated and how these were used to deliver the required results. All awards entries are specifically for work done during 2010.

The Rising Star Award calls for nominations for an individual that has really made their mark in 2010. The individual must be working in the industry and be aged under 30.

Best Sign Company Award and Best Wide-Format Printing Company Award recognise the very best company that has demonstrated a high level of success in customer service, business growth or development, business retention, innovation and creativity and should be backed up by solid results and testimonials.

The accolades will be awarded at the Sign and Digital UK Awards and Networking event to be held on the evening of the second day of the exhibition (13 April) at the National Motorcycle Museum, near the entrance to the NEC, Birmingham. Visit the show website for an entry form.
