Durst is using the Printing United show in the US as the launchpad for the Rho 2500 series of printers.
An evolution of the Rho 1300 Series, the modular Rho 2500 is available in three versions, with upgrades possible at any time. All are equipped with Durst Workflow Print production software and the monitoring tool Durst Analytics.
The Rho 2500’s new 8pl printheads with variodrop printing technology enable resolution of 1000 x 800dpi with speeds up to 1,200m2/hr. Other possibilities are for volume production, high speed and a Smart 4 printing mode for the six-colour version. The Rho 2500S model has six head rows, the M model has eight, and the L version has 10. All can have white.
Other options include a stacker for three-quarter or full automation, a dual track printing mode, a safe ink refill identification system and camera control on the outside of the printer while operating the monitor screen.
