Abbey Signs delivers growth for Acorn Life
Abbey Signs, based in Corrandulla, Galway, has completed another prestigious piece of indoor signage work, this time for Acorn Life at the Ulster Bank Irish Franchise Association Expo and Awards 2011.
The centrepiece of the project involved the construction of a large tree to signify growth which was digitally printed in full colour. Acorn Life is a major Irish owned Life Assurance company with branches nationwide and its headquarters located in Galway. Martin Mulrooney, production foreman at Abbey Signs said that the company, which specialises in shop front signage, vehicle lettering and wraps, raised lettering, exhibition and display work as well as general outdoor posters was chosen for the job because of its expertise in this type of work.
“The client is called Acorn Life so the large oak tree was designed to highlight the company’s growth, from acorn to a large oak tree,” he commented. “The project involved the construction of a right angled backdrop stand measuring 2440mm high by 4500mm long. This was made from composite aluminium panels which had digitally printed graphics laminated onto them using Hexis V200 series digital vinyl. There was a 9 feet high tree reproduced in MDF as the centrepiece that stood in the corner which was created in two halves and hinged so it sat back into the stand. The finished piece really emphasised the message of growth which Acorn Life wished to highlight at the show to prospective franchises.”
