Mimaki and EFI have both confirmed participation in the virtual Textile and Apparel trade show, taking place 15 – 30 October, 2020.
Mimaki Europe will create a showcase of its latest textile solutions, with attendees able to tour its virtual booth to see technology in action and speak to the team about the latest market trends. The company’s flagship dye-sublimation printer, TS55-1800, and the new hybrid printer, TX300P-1800 MkII, will take centre stage and personnel will be available for virtual live chats 24/7.
EFI Reggiani will show digital and analogue printers and pre- and post-treatment lines. It will also focus on textile inks, together with short, sustainable processes such as pigment and direct sublimation. Underlying the company’s presence at the event will be its ‘Innovation in Green’ strategy.
“Sustainability, new online business opportunities and smart processes are the key advantages for the ‘new normal’ that we are addressing with the EFI Reggiani portfolio of solutions,” said EFI Reggiani vice president and general manager Adele Genoni. “Green and sustainability, nearshoring and reshoring, and the growth of online shopping will be the rising trends, and all those trends finding their perfect answer in digital printing and shorter, greener processes.”
One of the solutions to be featured at the event will be the EFI Reggiani Terra, which eliminates the need for steaming or washing on direct-to-textile applications using a polymerisation process that takes place as printed fabric goes through the printer’s on-board dryer. The Terra system comprises four printer models, suitable for small scale through to mass production.
The EFI Reggiani Bolt will also be showcased – a 1.9m wide single-pass textile solution reaching speeds up to 90m/min.
