Roland DG has released the VW-S1 densitometer for better colour matching on and between Roland printers. It is compatible with TrueVis, VersaCamm, VersaStudio and VersaUV printers and printer/cutters.
The VW-S1 USB device works with the printer colour matching function of Roland’s VersaWorks 6.8 Rip – ensuring consistency of colour output from one printer over time or between compatible printers, for instance two or more same-model Roland devices with the same ink type, configuration and print settings.
“The VW-S1 has been developed in response to our customers’ needs,” said Paul Willems, director of business development and product management, Roland DG EMEA. “Our users tell us that other devices are expensive and difficult to use, so the new Roland VW-S1 is priced accessibly, is low maintenance and is easy to operate with the intuitive VersaWorks 6 Rip.”
VersaWorks 6.8 is the latest Rip and print management software from Roland, updated with four new features. These include a ten-fold increase of the variable data print limit, simulation profile management, multi job grouping and a new Pantone library.
