Election 2011 a boost for iSupply
iSupply, based in Galway, has captured unexpected additional large-format business from the recent Election due to the company’s production structure – a mix of quickprint shops and a dedicated commercial litho/LFP production hub.
Although basically an offset printer iSupply has been steadily building up its presence in the small and large-format sector in recent times and it was the company’s ability to offer all the local political parties a mix of print solutions which enabled it to secure this additional Election work as well.
Managing director Louise Donnellan said the company managed to get all the political parties on board by offering fast turnaround of standard Election material which led to it also securing the parties large-format requirements as well.
“The wide-format business came in, not by being as cheap obviously as the larger companies in Dublin but by being able to produce 20,000 flyers and also being able to supply five or six 8ft x 4ft election posters on the same day,” explained Donnellan. “It was this ability of being able to mix standard litho print with large-format digital on demand that gave iSupply the edge.”
Donnellan believes the future for his company lies in this capability to be totally flexible in terms of its product offering to the market.
“iSupply has a new website which has just gone live and this will also incorporate a ‘shop’ within the next few days,” she added. “Once the shop goes live on the site I am hoping to significantly expand supply’s large-format offering which at the moment is centred on two Epson’s, a 9800 and a 9880, one HP Z6100 and a HP 25500 latex printer. Once the volume increases I am hoping to look at some of the flat beds available on the market to significantly increase iSupplys production capability in this area.”
