Sign Select always find a solution
Sign Select, based in Kilbarry, Co. Waterford, has completed work on a new state-of-the-art gym and fitness facility in Waterford using Signcomp non illuminated facia frame with stunning results.
Signcomp is a flex face sign tensioning system that uses small tensioning clips which run all the way around the perimeter of the PVC graphic skin. These then clip into a specially designed extrusion that allows very accurate and fine tuned tension across the entire face of the material.
Sign Select specialises in dimensional, digital and vinyl graphics as well as display systems particularly for the fast food and retail sector. It has recently also installed a new Roland 64in VersaCamm VS-640 printer and 64in laminator to enhance its production capabilities for both customers and the trade.
Director Struan Bickerton commented: “This client approached me and said that he wanted to have some permanent signage erected on this, his first new fitness outlet. As a new business the signage needed to have a number of functions which included a bold statement about the facility, a wow factor, and it needed to display all of Goldstones major branding/selling points including price. I explained to him that given his location facing onto the new Waterford ring road a large wall mount flex face system positioned all around the top of the building would be the ideal signage solution. The signs ended up as large PVC prints which measured three metre high in various lengths from seven to ten metres. All the printed graphics were then put into these special frames which tension the signs with special clips which are impervious to any kind of weather conditions and applied directly to the vinyl substrate. This means that no additional work is required such as pocketing or eyelets. The Signcomp system now gives Sign Select massive scope for creating something truly spectacular, eye catching and impressive for its clients.”
