Reprocentre showcases the HP Scitex Latex LX800 3.2m printer for the first time in Ireland
Reprocentre has started to run a series of open house days in its Dublin showroom showcasing, for the first time in Ireland, the HP Scitex Latex LX800 3.2m wide printer The remaining dates are on the 18th and 19th of May from 10:30am – 17:30pm.
The model is the third generation of printers that uses HP latex inks, and is HP’s largest and most productive printer to use this water-based technology to date.
Eoin Honan, sales director at Reprocentre, said: “The HP Scitex LX800 printer was launched at Ipex 2010,”he said. “It has proven popular with print service providers looking for a versatile, high throughput device, with the ability to attract environmentally conscious customers. The LX800 features roll-to-free-fall, roll-to-collector and dual-roll (up to two 1.52m/60in rolls) capabilities. Add in the fact that it also produces high-quality output with 1,200dpi resolution at production speeds up to 88m2/hr (947sq ft/hr) for outdoor billboards and up to 45m2/hr (484ft/hr) for indoor applications and the result is a top class machine.”
Honan also said that the HP Scitex LX800 had a number of features which made the printer particularly interesting for Irish clients. “The HP Latex LX800 offers significant substrate versatility with the ability to print on a wide range of media, including low-cost, uncoated papers and HP recyclable media. In addition, prints produced with HP latex inks are odourless, making them suitable for most locations where odour is a concern, such as wall coverings/ wallpapers where odour could be immediately noticeable.”
The primary applications for the LX800 include point-of-purchase displays; soft signage; outdoor and events signage, backlit displays, vehicle wraps and graphics.
