McGowan’s incorporates QR codes into rebrand

As part of a major re-branding campaign McGowan’s has produced a stunning re-wrap of one of the company’s vans. The wrap incorporates a QR code (quick response) to attract the more potential customers.

The aim of the rebrand is to have all in-house signage and branding uniform across a variety of platforms, including social networks, using high impact graphics and innovative/technology marketing tools.
“The graphics for the van were printed on a HP Scitex LX800 3.2m-wide latex printer which offers photographic quality printing with non-solvent inks,” he said. “For added impact some metallic gold ink images were printed and ‘kiss-cut’ off a Roland Soljet and then overlayed. The plan is for a QR code on the top so people with smartphones on buses for example can capture the code and be re-directed to McGowan’s website or Facebook page,” said McGowan’s managing director Tony Roe.
The entire job was finished off by sealing it with an anti-vandal gloss lamination to add durability and Roe feels the ‘Wow’ factor created is unusually stunning.
“McGowan’s has done a lot of vehicle wraps but I have rarely seen anything with the same kind of impact as this,” he continued. “It took roughly two full days to apply the graphics to the vehicle and the results speak for themselves. So far a lot of positive feedback has been received from its presence on the road. This is the beginning of a re-branding campaign that will see all the companies in-house signage and branding be uniformed so they communicate with each other in a way that will impress anyone viewing it. “
