EFI Reggiani has broken ground on a new 20,000m2 textile campus in Bergamo, Italy. The new site, due for completion mid-2023, will accommodate a 3,000m2 demo centre, nearly twice the size of the current one in Grassobbio, Italy.
The new demo centre will house Mezzera pre- and post-treatment and Jaeggli yarn treatment products as well as EFI Reggiani printers. It will also feature EFI Reggiani’s recently acquired portfolio of Inedit Rip and workflow software solutions.
There are plans to install 400 kilowatts of solar panels at the new site, supplying 60% of the facility’s total energy requirements. The building will also have thermal insulation and skylights will provide better natural lighting. Green space on the campus was a priority in its design and will cover 20% of the total area. For a more welcoming work environment, the campus will also have a canteen and gymnasium for employees.
“EFI Reggiani has always worked diligently to take our offerings to the next level,” said EFI Reggiani senior vice president and general manager Adele Genoni. “The new campus is proof of EFI’s strong commitment to continued development of the textiles business unit. Not only will this provide us more space to continue our growth, but it will also be a sustainable environment for our employees.”
