Epson unveils new Monna Lisa textile printers

Epson has unveiled its new Monna Lisa printers at ITMA – the Monna Lisa ML-16000/HY and Monna Lisa ML-24000, as well a new configuration Monna Lisa ML-8000 and Monna Lisa ML-32000 in new 340cm width.

The 180cm width Monna Lisa ML-16000/HY has been developed to reproduce glossy lacquer, metallic gold and silver, and opaque white on printed fabrics. Printing at up to 1200dpi, it uses 16 PrecisionCore printheads and 64 nozzles running an 8-colour Genesta water-based inkset and pastes developed and produced by Epson Como Printing Technologies to create the special effects.

The 12-colour Monna Lisa ML-24000, equipped with 24 Epson PrecisionCore printheads, offers the widest colour range.

Meanwhile, the new Monna Lisa ML-8000 Reacid configuration adds a wide selection of other materials and fibres to the list of fabrics already supported by Monna Lisa printers, including non-traditional fibres.

Lastly, the 340cm Monna Lisa ML-32000 offers more efficient printing for the home textile sector by allowing two pieces of fabric to be printed at the same time.
