    Print delegation convenes with Government

A joint delegation representing the print and paper industries has attended a roundtable at No10 Downing Street in continuance of the IPIA’s industry advocacy efforts with Government.

At the event, the delegation – Brendan Perring, IPIA; Simon Cooper, Solopress; Sarah Kilcoyne-Guilliam, Bluetree; Lance Hill, Eight Days a Week Print Solutions; Anthony Powell, Tradeprint; Jane Rixon, HP; Marine Kerivel-Brown, Duplo; Mike Hughes, Latcham – met with special advisors to the Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak MP. The aim is to educate the Government on the contribution of the print and paper industries to the economic and social progress of the UK – and then advocate for the structural and strategic support we need to thrive and grow for the long-term. Among the topics discussed was the contribution of the sectors to technology innovation and sustainability.

The roundtable builds on an initial meeting earlier at No10 earlier in the year, attended by IPIA chair Charles Rogers, and his resulting invitation to a Business Leaders Reception hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden MP. A delegation from the paper industry is the next step in a long-term process.
