SOS, GMG Color and Vivid are teaming up for an open house at Vivid’s showroom in Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire, on 6 and 7 September.
‘The Three Card Trick’ event will show wide-format print being undertaken on some of the latest Roland TrueVis print/cut machines supplied by SOS, driven by GMG’s colour control and workflow software. Samples will then be cut, folded and laminated on Vivid’s VeloBlade range of equipment, enabling visitors to take away a finished product, including a boxed deck of laminated playing cards.
SOS director Ashley Fleming said: “The inkjet large-format print market is projected to grow significantly over the course of the next few years, and we want our customers to be best positioned to take advantage of this growth. We are pleased to be joining forces with our friends from GMG Color and Vivid to show a full large-format workflow and using the latest hand-picked Roland machines. It’s a great opportunity for any printer to investigate the latest wide format technology and future-proof their business, whether they are experienced or thinking of taking this market on for the first time.”
SOS will show the Roland TrueVis LG-540 UV-LED integrated print/cut machine, TrueVis AP-540 54in resin printer, and TrueVis VG3-540 eco solvent printer. Attendees will be able to request specific demonstrations when registering for the event, and potentially produce their own work at the show by prior arrangement.
The event will also showcase GMG Color’s OpenColor and ColorProof as well as print finishing equipment at Vivid’s showroom, covering the latest in automated packaging technology and software solutions ranging from lamination, digital foiling, packaging software, digital die-cutting and patented taper systems.
