Bodoni resolves the grey balance issue with 4CX
Bodoni has used the GraphExpo show in the US to launch 4CX in the latest version of pressSign to make hitting a target grey balance fast, efficient and easy.
“The new 4CX technology has great significance to large-format inkjet particularly in the signage market, said Bodoni’s Ian Reid. “The current method of achieving good quality colour is by using ICC profiling. While profiling is a very accurate way of getting to the right colour it requires a great deal of expertise and a great deal of time. So in environments where either the device isn’t very stable or where users are swapping from one substrate to another profiling isn’t very practical. In these conditions our patent pending 4CX technology is ideal.
“You can measure a small strip to define how the device is printing at the moment and then send a tonal adjustment to the Rip. This makes a huge difference to the speed in which you can get accurate good quality colour from your device. If you already have a profile built into the workflow then you can apply 4CX to the profiled workflow which then achieves the colour you want.
