SMP goes superwide with HP Scitex XP5300
Customer demand for 5m-wide print has prompted the SMP Group to buy an HP Scitex XP5300 printer to produce superwide format outdoor and in-store displays. The newcomer is part of a ?750,000 investment programme at SMP designed to attract new business.
“We were experiencing increasing demands from our customers to deliver printing in the 5m market. The HP Scitex XP5300 has the build quality and pedigree that attracted SMP,” said Mark Turner, production director SMP. “It has all the capabilities we need; it has the latest in UV technology, ensuring it’s the right machine for the job.”
Designed for high-speed, high-volume industrial print environments, the HP Scitex XP5300 can produce everything from durable outdoor signage to high-quality, point-of-purchase displays. In addition, productivity features like multi-roll printing and the optional On-core Collector, help lower operator costs.
