Durst ups its green commitment with free ink collection and disposal service

To continue its ethos of conforming strictly to RoHS and WEEE directives, Durst is enhancing its green ink policy with a free collection and disposal service for all waste inks from its Rho printers. The company is also simplifying the control of ink stocks and minimising waste by supplying all of its inks in five litre single packs.
Durst says, with its wide-format ink-jet printers, it has always followed the UV-curable route because of its concern about environmentally friendly printing processes. Depending on ink usage, a maximum of five percent recycle credit of the waste inks is being offered on the total purchase. The manufacturer also claims its Rho roll-fed products use the first and only digital ink approved to the stringent Nordic Swan environmental standard.
