Access Plastics opens new division
Access Plastics, a supplier of plastic and vinyl products to the sign, exhibition and screenprinting sector, has formed a trading division called Access Print Supplies. Headed up by Jonathon Keane and Patrick King the new company will specifically target the digital indoor and outdoor large-format market for both water-based and solvent/UV curable products.
David McGowan, director of Access Plastics, said Access needed to expand into new market segments. “We currently supply the market with a range of digital banner, vinyl, film, fabric, tarpaulin covers and PVC but there are other ancillary products out there that we don’t cover because up until very recently we didn’t have the expertise to go after this sector. Keane and King bring a different experience to the table in the form of their expertise in both the indoor and outdoor digital supplies sector for selling large-format printers and third party inks as well as products such as multipurpose paper, board, cold laminates, water-based substrates, and POP.
“Access Print Supplies will also market new innovative products such as Dufaylite Ultra Board which is a rigid lightweight board based on a well established honeycomb structure that can be used cost effectively for quality display and promotional solutions.”
Although McGowan accepts that the new entity will face very stiff competition in the marketplace he added: “We didn’t bring in amateurs to do this job which is why I’m confident Access Print Supplies will be successful in the long run.”
