Inkjet filter manufacturer Inprinta has brought out two new ranges of 10in (25cm) cartridge filters designed for use in the manufacture of bulk ink. The new ranges are based on Inprinta’s proprietary Klearfil and Tekfil technologies.
Klearfil bulk ink filters benefit from the latest developments in meltblown polypropylene filter media technology offering removal ratings from 0.5 to 75 micron absolute. The combination of up to eight separate filtration layers provides true depth filtration, within a pleated cartridge construction. The graded multi-layer polypropylene media in Klearfil bulk ink filters provides pre-filtration of the process fluid prior to the absolute rated final layer. The design of the Klearfil cartridges is said to help achieve lower running costs and a smaller process footprint.
Available in a choice of removal ratings from 1 to 100 microns, Tekfil bulk ink filter cartridges benefit from a graded depth filter design. These cartridges can be used as pre-filters or final filters in bulk inkjet filtration.
Inprinta Klearfil and Tekfilbulk ink filter cartridges are manufactured from FDA approved materials, contain no surfactants or bonding agents and are made in an ISO cleanroom environment. All cartridge filters are validated using recognised industry standard modified OSU-F2 single pass test to Beta 5000 (99.98% efficiency). Klearfiland Tekfil filters are suitable for use with both aqueous and solvent-based inkjet inks and fluids.
