Matan has introduced a Vacuum Plate System that turns the Barak into a flatbed printer. The plate is available in several sizes, with net printing areas of: 1.01 x 1.52m; 1.22 x 2.44m; and 1.52 x 3.04m.
The new system is compatible with the BarakiQ (UViStar2), Barak 8Q (UViStar Pro-8) and Barak 8QW (UViStar Pro-8W).
The vacuum plate is mounted onto a foldable cart and attaches to the printer via pneumatic and electric quick connections. Supported media includes sheeted paper, sheets of clear media such as PVC or static cling, foam-board, coroplast, milky backlit, foam PVC etc.
The move comes just weeks after the introduction of the Sheet Collector Kit for the Barak 8.
