Sawgrass will use Viscom Milan in October to showcase its new VJ 628 System 25in printer optimised for dye-sublimation applications.
“In direct response to requests for an alternative to the current 24in aftermarket solutions, we worked with Mutoh to develop the VJ 628 System, which offers a wider print area and brings the power of our desktop Virtuoso HD Product Decorating Systems to its next evolution,”?said Sawgrass president Darcy Mauro. ?
Earlier this year, Sawgrass announced a private-label partnership with Ricoh to bring out its Virtuoso HD Product Decorating System, featuring the SG400 (A4) and SG800 (A3+) printers that debuted in January.
With the VJ 628, Sawgrass has added a larger format and higher volume option with printheads capable of printing up to 1440 x 1440dpi. It uses a new formulation of Sawgrass’ patented SubliJet-HD sublimation inks in both dual CMYK and eight-colour configurations.
