MAKING THE MOST OF IPEX 2010
BY NICK CRAIG WALLER, IPEX 2010 MARKETING DIRECTOR
A visit to Ipex will demonstrate once again what a great and vibrant business print is. When Ipex opens its doors on 18 May for eight days, the event will play host to over 650 global stand holders, which will represent more than 1,000 companies, who among them will occupy an impressive net floor space of 60,000m2 throughout 11 adjoining exhibition halls.
Ipex is a huge event with a broad range of products and services on show and its visitors are busy people. To maximise your time at the event, know what you want to achieve by setting out questions you need answered and your objectives. Then find out where to go to get answers. Good sources of information can be found in the trade press, on the Ipex website (www.ipex.org) and in the dedicated wide-format product trail at the show. Do also talk to your suppliers about their stand and show plans. Make sure you pre-register and commit the time you need to make the visit a success.
The online ‘My Ipex’ event planner (www.myipex.org) can help you to plan your visit in advance by creating a bespoke itinerary that you can re-visit and amend during the run up to the show. Explore an interactive plan of the NEC and individual halls, search for exhibitors by name, hall or product type, see all the education on offer at the show, link to exhibitor information and product details and get information about facilities, travel and accommodation.
Many exhibitors will use Ipex as an international platform to demonstrate new market-leading technologies and launch cutting-edge products, ensuring that visitors will be the first to get a glimpse of the industry’s future. The new technologies that are displayed will help build new markets and new businesses so Ipex will offer an unmissable opportunity for printers to see where the industry is heading. Please make sure you are prepared.
