The VersaTech2 all-in-one cutter, developed by MCT digital with Blackman and White, has won the 2016 SGIA ‘Product of the Year Award for Finishing – Routers/Cutters’.
The VersaTech2 can run with full conveyor automation – including motorised roll unwinding or automatic board loading for all tools, whether laser, router or tangential knives.
Alex White, MD of Blackman and White, said: “In addition to the unique hardware capabilities, that includes a patent-pending dual conveyor capability, our continued full solution expansion for grand-format cutter workflow now includes software for nesting and tiling at the design function, as well as an easy to use parametric solution for boxes and POP/POS displays, added to TigerVision’s machine control and vision capabilities.”
The VersaTech now has a strengthened beam and improved rack and pinion drive system allowing it to move at speeds of 78in/sec.
