Roland DG showcase the VersaUV LEC-330 printer at Packaging Ireland 2010
Packaging Ireland 2010, being held in the RDS, Dublin on the 16/17 June, will see Roland DG showcasing its VersaUV LEC-330 LFP – a clear demonstration of its determination to target a sector which it sees as holding good growth potential for the company in Ireland.
Johanna Probert, senior marketing executive, Roland DG (UK), said: “The innovative VersaUV LEC-330 machine is ideal for companies working in production and design, because this white ink proofing solution integrates current industry packaging/labelling production design workflows such as CGS ORIS, GMG Color, EFI and Esko Artwork with Roland print and cut technology for ultimate flexibility.”
As well as variable data printing, the VersaUV LEC-330’s UV curing technology combines with gloss to produce special effects such as Braille, embossing, gloss, all designed to allow users add value to proofs and labels alike.
“It’s perfect for pre-press, short run label production, speciality graphics and membrane panels,” continued Probert. “The LEC-330 can print onto a wide variety of media up to 1.3mm thick, including foils, BOPP, PE, PET film and offset printing stock. Add in the integrated cutting functionality which allows for cutting and creasing of prototypes without the need for expensive and time-consuming proofing techniques and you have the complete all-in-one packaging and proofing solution.”
