A new horizon for Sun Chemical’s Streamline in Ireland
Horizon Graphics, a leading display and print solutions company located in Dublin 15, has just converted one of its large-format printers, a Roland Pro 111, to Sun Chemical’s Streamline inks.
The company has two print divisions, screen and digital, and although it has formidable firepower in its digital section, current economics persuaded Horizon to switch some large format capacity away from OEM to third party inks to improve production efficiency. Ken Kavanagh junior, Horizon production manager said: “Changing over to Sun Chemical ESL ink has reduced our waste, increased production due to the bulk ink system, lowered costs and allowed us to print re-run work without any shift in colour.” Sun Chemical is the world’s largest producer of printing inks and pigments and has developed and formulated its Streamline digital ink range to have similar colour and physical properties to original OEM inks. Bernard Sanaghan, sales manager at Sun Chemical, added: “From Horizon’s perspective there is no compromise in the Rip quality or production after the change over. The company can continue to use its existing settings and profiles with the added knowledge that we offer technical and engineering support through our Irish partner the Reprocentre Group.”
