Amazon rolls out a winning combination from Sihl
Amazon OSL has reported a huge demand for two of its new large-format substrates – PolySOL Roll-up Film 180 and SuperDry Roll-up film 190.
Based on the outskirts of Celbridge, Co Kidare, the company is a major supplier of Sihl media to both the indoor and outdoor print market directly and through a number of specialist re-sellers. The addition of both products to its large-format portfolio was to satisfy a growing need from Amazon’s customers as director Paul Meehan explained: “In a lot of cases people were complaining about the rigidity of the roll-up films that were available, particularly for indoor applications. Sihl’s SuperDry Roll-up film 190 has excellent rigidity which makes it resistant to mechanical stress and has a special antistatic backing. The satin SuperDry coating makes it ideal for photorealistic posters, POS, POP and indoor signs.”
Amazon’s outdoor equivalent, PolySOL Roll-up Film 180, is designed for eco-mild and full solvent prints. It has a very short drying time and is suitable for hot and cold lamination.
“Again this product is as good as the indoor grade,” added Meehan. “PolySOL Roll-up Film 180 has excellent flatness features as well which means that it can be used for a huge range of signage, advertisement and POS applications and the media is virtually 100% opaque.”
