B2B Signs sponsors Barretstown car graphics
B2B Signs has sponsored the graphics on a car which will participate in the Mongolian Rally 2010 as a fundraiser to benefit Barretstown, a well known Irish charity which helps children affected by cancer. The car will be driven by a three man crew from Cork. Paul Glavin, Brian McKeown and Adrian McLaughlin, aptly named the ‘Rebel Warriors’, will set off by road on 24 July, destination Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia.
It involves a mammoth trip which will involve travelling nearly 10,000 miles, or a third of the way around the earth’s surface, through deserts and mountains, via Turkey, Iran, Russia, Mongolia, and a plethora of other countries most people haven’t heard of. The only rules are that it must be completed in a city type car (less than ten years old), with an engine no bigger than 1300 cc, and with no backup crew.
B2B Signs which is based in Blackstone Bridge, Cork, provides a range of signage solutions throughout Ireland. The company’s main products include interior and exterior signs, vehicle graphics and display signs and its clients include many of Ireland’s largest companies and public sector organisations.
Susan Butler, sales and marketing manager at B2B Signs, said: “The company’s policy is to divert some of its marketing budget to these kinds of charitable initiatives. We like to vary this by supporting different projects throughout the year. This particular cause struck a chord with us and so we were happy to support it.”
Ruth Craig, community fundraising manager at Barretstown, added: “At Barretstown we are dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families affected by childhood cancer and other serious illness. Every year, people like Paul Glavin and his team help to make our dreams at Barretstown a reality.”
