The British Coatings Federation (BCF) has added a new event to its 2018 programme that aims to inform and educate the UK print community about UV LED curing technology. ‘The BCF print forum: throwing light on UV LED’, will take place on 2 October at the Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club in Edinburgh, and on 9 October at Moor Hall in Sutton Coldfield.
The programme’s speakers will introduce the technology, explain the competitive reasons to use it, and present case studies from their own businesses. Lead sponsors are Paragon and Flint supported by hubergroup, Inx, Sun Chemical, AkzoNobel, AMS Spectral UV, bfs pressroom solutions, BYK Additives and Instruments, GEW, IST UK, and Phoseon Technology.
Martin Fowler, UK and Ireland sales manager from lead sponsors Paragon said: “The demonstration and case studies of the technical advancements and positive attributes of LED technology in today’s product decoration market will give all the attendees a solid platform for future development and investment.”
Keith Redmond, regional business manager (narrow web), UK and Ireland, Flint, added: “This is a great opportunity for British converters to get a complete overview of the real benefits and advantages that can be achieved with this technology.”
