Canon supports print industry learning through college links
Canon UK is helping to train the print workers of the future by providing Leicester College with digital equipment to the value of ?400,000. The company has provided an imagePress C7000, imagePrograf iPF5100 and imagePrograf iPF755 which will be used to teach about the colour digital printing process and the science behind inkjet printing.
Maggie Galliers, principal of Leicester College said: “We are very grateful to Canon for providing the very latest in print technology. This equipment will enable us to build on our learning development programme to encourage young people to enter the print industry. This along with our accreditation by The National Skills Academy for Materials Production and Supply builds on our reputation for excellence.”
