Clearview Signs install a HP Designjet 9000s
Clearview Signs has installed a 64in HP Designjet 9000s to improve the quality of the company’s overall print output and make it more competitive in the marketplace.
For 25 years this family run business has specialised in supplying the auctioneering industry as well as producing standard signage such as vehicle/window graphics, interior/exterior signs, banners, and raised letters. The company, which is based in Tallght, Dublin 24, has seen a noticeable decline in work from the construction industry and the new investment is aimed at improving overall print quality in order to develop new market sectors.
Production manager Paul McGrath said: “The HP9000 allows us to do much finer work than before. Up to now Clearview has used a Rockhopper 11 solvent printer which is very good but has its limitations for certain works such as exhibitions, pop-up and roll-up systems.”
Although the HP Designjet 9000 series has been discontinued by HP stocks are still available.
“In fairness we did get a good deal on this machine,” said McGrath. “However the truth is that we were never really comfortable chasing quality work before which is why the HP Designjet 9000 will open up a lot more doors for us in the future.”
