CMYUK continues with new appointments for décor and fashion materials

CMYUK is continuing its recruitment drive with the appointment of Emily Falconer as textile business development manager for its décor and fashion range of digital print ready fabrics.

Falconer joins CMYUK from Premier Textiles, where her last role during her six-year tenure was business development manager. She worked heavily in product development, collaborating with mills and suppliers for the formation of new materials. She has also worked in partnership with printer manufacturers to render the best results for textiles and fabrics on various print technologies and ink-sets.

Falconer was key to the development in fabric engineering for the DuraVibe brand of fabrics designed specifically for use with HP Latex ink technology. She was also involved in launching a fashion fabric range designed for multiple digital printing processes including reactive, pigment and sublimation.

At CMYUK Falconer will report to Michael Crook, business development director (consumables), and work with all departments to develop new décor and fashion textile ranges.

“Over recent years I have seen how the market for digitally printed textiles has grown, with more customers from non-traditional sectors investing in this technology. CMYUK is one of the very few organisations with the combined knowledge of extensive production equipment and materials expertise. I am pleased to be part of this,” said Falconer.

Crook added: “We have a dedicated, enthusiastic, high-calibre team and Emily is a perfect fit. We’re delighted that she has joined us, and I’m sure she will make an instant impact. We’re committed to these new growth markets, and it’s a very exciting time for the company.”
