Construction Signs and Safety (CSS) start re-branding with the installation of a HP Scitex FB950
A major re-branding programme has begun at Construction Signs and Safety with the purchase of a HP Scitex FB950 2.5 m wide UV industrial hybrid printer supplied by the Reprocentre.
The new machine was bought to increase productivity and allow the company opportunities to open up its business to new markets.CSS’s re-branding will also see the company name change to Sign Edge Solutions during March, a move designed to ensure that CSS is not perceived as simply a supplier of construction related signs. Based in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin CSS was established in 1989 and has been a leading supplier in the road signs and related products market as Nathy McIntyre, MD of the company explained.
“The backbone of our business historically has been road signs and associated product solutions for some of the country’s leading civil contractors and county councils,” he said. “We have also been very prominent in the events market where quick turnaround of product is of the essence. The company as well is the agent in Ireland and the UK for Movit Barriers, one of the most successful high quality pedestrian barriers in Europe. However with the general downturn in the economy over the last eighteen months, particularly within the construction industry we decided it was time to invest in the future and hence the recent installation of a HP 950 Scitex and the upcoming rebranding of the business as Sign Edge Solutions.”
The HP Scitex FB950’s primary applications are for exterior signage; outdoor furniture; Point of sale/display; POP/POS ,trade shows and event graphics, all market sectors which the newly branded Sign Edge Solutions will be targeting. The machine can produce high quality prints on virtually any rigid substrate such as corrugated carton, aluminium, Corriboard, Perspex, glass, even wood including uneven surfaces. The roll-feed system will also allow Sign Edge Solutions to print on vinyl, fabrics, film, and papers.
“With The HP Scitex FB950 we are now able to print directly on to a wide range of materials at high speed with excellent print quality,” continued McIntyre. “Our rebranding will encompass the new companies name, logo, sales materials and website and will hopefully position us to take full advantage of the wide range of products we can now supply, while still maintaining the service level we have provided in the past. We see ourselves as being in a position to increase our business particularly in retail graphics and point of sale and to enhance our level of turnaround and quality for the events and exhibitions markets.”
