Crosbie Brothers in at the deep end
Wexford’s main swimming pool and leisure centre, located in Ferrybank, has recently re-opened following a major refurbishment. As part of the redevelopment a significant new signage element was incorporated into the overall project, produced and installed by local sign company, Crosbie Brothers.
The company specialises in spraying, lettering and digital truck print wraps for major oil distributers in Ireland such as Campus and Topaz as well as general signage for county councils, auctioneers and the retail/leisure sector.
Eugene Crosbie, one of four brothers involved in the business, commented that securing the Wexford Swimming Pool project was a high profile success for Crosbie Brothers.
“The company was involved in providing and installing all the external and internal signage for this large job,” he said. “In particular two main outside signs, measuring 3 x 1.5m were constructed using blank aluminium panels onto which was mounted a laminated digital vinyl print showing images of the centre and the adjoining Ferrybank Caravan and Camping Park. These were erected on galvanized poles some distance from the main building to face the traffic in both directions. The graphics were printed on a Roland Soljet Pro III.”
Most of the inside signage comprised of cut out vinyl lettering mounted onto acrylic which was used for information purposes.Crosbies also constructed a large inside sign in the reception area using sprayed raised lettering to highlight the venues name, as well constructing and erecting a large totem pole sign immediately outside the main building to announce the venues name to visitors.
