Dufaylite, the UK recycled paper honeycomb manufacturer, is supplying up-and-coming designer Shell Thomas with its Ultra Board for a new toy – Reggie the Eco Rocker.
Reggie is a newly launched, modern and sustainable alternative to traditional rocking horse and is already proving a hit with creative kids across the country. He arrives flat-packed, blank and ready to be brought to life at home using pencils, crayons, glitter, glue and a little imagination for budding young designers.
The Ultra Board product was also used by Shell in her winter window displays for Oliver Bonas stores in London. Shell used the material to create a range of winter wildlife including birds and a life-size family of deer. “I use Ultra Board for a range of applications,” says Shell. “In addition to being incredibly strong in load-bearing situations, it is also a perfect material for temporary and one-off structures because it is 100% recyclable when it is time to create the next scheme.
