London-based digital print facility Face Creative Services has bought a Canon imagePrograf iPF 9400 60in 12-colour printer and 24in imagePrograf iPF 6450.
The printers, bought from reseller M Partners Wide, replace an older Canon machine and an Epson.
“The print quality produced by these latest Canon devices is second to none,” said Colin Harding, production director at Face Creative. “The 12-colour models appealed to us because we never want to be in a position where we turn away work because the equipment couldn’t handle the files sent in: these printers will handle anything. The tonal gradations are exceptional.
“The speed enables the equipment to be used for both the general wide-format market and for proofing. The built-in densitometer makes proofing a single process, again offering a speed advantage over our previously used kit,” added Harding.
