Design company Fokina has taken Germany’s first Fujifilm Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED printer – unveiled at Fespa Global in 2022.
The company, which signed the deal at Fespa Global 2023, will run the new machine alongside its 5m Acuity Ultra which it bought in 2020. The latter has since been used to print Fujifilm’s stand graphics for a number of events, including at Fespa last year.
Fokina MD Sven Breiter said he chose the new Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED because he’s already familiar with Fujifilm and having seen the printer at Fespa 2022 he then road-tested it at Fujifilm’s site in Broadstairs. “The Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED is the full package. When I was shown the machine at the demo in Broadstairs, I was able to print my own jobs and I saw for myself the high speed and quality it was able to deliver. The media transportation process is very smooth, and its ink drop placement is highly precise,” he said.
The Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED is expected to boost the business’s productivity, to reduce lead times and to print on a wider array of substrates.
