Geometrics hits the half way mark with Nasdar inks
The recent conversion of INC’s Roland DG Printers, an AJ1000 and a XC540 Pro III from Roland ink to Nazdar ink brings to a total of 50 Roland printers in the south of Ireland now running on Nazdar ink supplied by Geometrics.
The Dublin supplier has transformed its product offering to the marketplace over the last year by capitalising on the ever increasing demand by the digital sign and display sector for cost reduction solutions. Fergus Byrne, MD of Geometrics, said the market trend was moving in the direction of non-OEM inks as a result of falling margins.
Paul Byrne, a director of INC summed up the reasons for switching to Nasdar inks.
“Simply put, it’s all down to money these days,” he said. “The Nasdar inks are half the price of Roland inks. We didn’t have to change any of our profiling on either machine and with the Roland DG AJ1000 it was simply a matter of taking out the original Roland cartridge and slotting in the new Nasdar one. The Pro III was a little bit different because it’s a bulk tank fitting instead of a standard cartridge and even on this machine there was nothing required except for the print heads to be cleaned.”
