GP Digital installs HP Designjet Z6200
Tucked around a corner off busy Camden Street in Dublin 8 sits GP Digital, a small-and large-format printer which has just installed a HP Designjet Z6200 photo printer in order to offer clients enhanced production quality, improve overall turnaround speed and service as well as developing new business solutions.
In existence since 2004 the company’s directors all come from a background in reprographics having originally worked for one of Ireland’s largest repro houses, Techni Graphoplan. GP Digital has consistently built up a reputation for high quality large-format indoor and outdoor display graphics and interior décor as Nyssan Deeb, director and co-founder of the company explained:
“GP Digital invested in the new HP Designjet Z6200 because most of the company’s indoor work is high quality photographic posters on paper, canvas, backlit film and also fine art prints,” she said. “Designers make up a major part of GP Digital’s client base and they were looking for higher resolution prints and additional applications which the company could not achieve on its current HP 5500. One of the reasons for investing in the new printer was that it allows GP Digital to take on very demanding photo printing jobs with the colour gamut enabled by chromatic red ink and uniform gloss.”
GP Digital also produces a significant amount of outdoor work using a HP Designjet 8000 large-format printer. Again the emphasis here is on producing high quality graphics for outdoor advertising, window/vechicle graphics, canvas, flag and fabric prints.
Peter Morrow of Diatec, whic supplied the HP Designjet Z6200, commented: “This printer has speeds up to 140 m2/hr. It will allow GP Digital to market and develop additional products due to HP’s Vivid Photo Inks.”
Deeb added: “I know customers will be blown away with the new graphics which GP Digital can produce now and I hope ad. agencies will also see the benefits of what this printer can offer them by using new technology to create stunning print solutions.”
