GP Digital invests in HP Designjet L25500
Dublin city based GP Digital has upgraded its large-format capability by investing in a HP Designjet L25500 latex printer. The new printer was bought to replace an older HP 8000 solvent machine and also to allow the company, which specialises in large-format indoor and outdoor display graphics and interior décor, to slowly expand into new market sectors.
Nyssan Deeb, director and co-founder of the company explained the rational behind the company’s new investment. “The HP 8000 was very high maintenance and also just didn’t deliver the quality that many clients required,” she said. “At the end of the day I was paying someone to effectively monitor a machine which just wasn’t feasible. The HP 25500 is superb in that you don’t have to watch the print coming off the machine because it’s so consistent. Also the print quality is far superior to the HP 8000.”
Deeb also commented that the new investment has significantly freed up production time enabling DP Digital to take on more work.
“The HP 25500 is ideal for all the usual jobs like pull-up banners and POP displays,” she added. “That’s a large part of the business here because anyone from the finance sector to hotel and catering as well as small and medium sized businesses and designers all have a requirement for these types of products. However, the new press will now allow DP Digital to expand further into the interior décor sector which is an area that has a huge potential for DP Digital in the future.”
