Graphic Printing Technologies (GPT) is introducing the GPT 190s, a 1.9m wide printer based on an existing Mimaki textile machine and said to be twice the speed of the JV33.
“We have measured the GPT190S, which incorporates double printheads (as the JV34 260), and the print speeds are exactly double that of the JV33 – i.e. at top speed the JV33 160 is quoted at 17.5m2/hr and the GPT190S was timed at 35m2/hr,” said GPT general manager Stuart Cole.
The GPT 190s comes with a full Mimaki warranty, Mimaki inks and Mimaki Rip. It has an optional trough for unbacked mesh materials, and an optional Mimaki bulk ink system.
Cole added: “This is what many of our customers have requested. It provides all the benefits of the JV33 160, more akin to the JV34 for speed with the double heads, a unique 1.9m print width, and is incredibly good value for money.
The new printer is available exclusively from GPT as of this month.
