The SGIA in Las Vegas has seen Ilford reveal two new product offerings for the sign and display market within its Ominjet range.
Â
Omnijet Trans is an inkjet alternative to traditional backlit silver halide products and has been developed for use with wide-format aqueous printers. The product is said to leave a smaller environmental footprint by eliminating wet chemical processing. Â It will be available early 2013.Â
Â
With Omnijet NanoSolvent Ilford has leveraged its expertise in coating technologies to create a new layer within the media for increased productivity with solvent and eco-solvent printing. The NanoSolvent layer meets the highest demands for image quality and offers a very fast printing and drying speed, enabling print service providers to laminate quickly and avoid ink transfer when the material is rolled up.Â
Â
The new NanoSolvent layer will be coated onto a variety of PVC-free substrates including clear and translucent film and pop-up display, self-adhesive and banner printing materials. NanoSolvent products will be rolled out during the first half of 2013.
