    Imageco aids anti-cornonavirus measures

Leeds-based wide-format print specialist Imageco is using its print kit, Zund cutter and sewing facilities to create masks, hand sanitising stations, social distancing POS and other PPE items.

Imageco has donated 50 protective masks to the Neuro Acute Ward at Leeds General Infirmary and 20 to Bywater Hall and Lodge care home. There are more currently in production and the company has pledged to prioritise the use of its machines for any NHS needs. Alongside this, it has donated ‘I support the NHS’ stickers for the team at St James’ to help them raise additional money for essential resources. Imageco has also created social distancing POS and graphics, hand sanitiser stations and anti-bacterial stickers to help supermarkets operate as safely as possible. On top of this it has also ensured that the products produced are 100% recyclable where possible, so there will be no additional waste afterwards. “I wanted us to use our creativity and technology to assist in the crisis,” said Nathan Swinson-Bullough, director of Imageco. “Our initial thoughts were ‘shall we fill our vans with toilet roll and deliver to the needy?’ Then we sat down as a team and really thought about creative ways that would benefit others while being able to sustain our business through this crisis. I saw balancing live work with product donations as a good path to choose.”
