Allen Signs MD David Allen has become the new president of the ISA-UK trade association for the UK sign, graphics and visual communications industry.
Allen takes over from Sam Armstrong, who has served for the last two years as president and who will support him in his new role for the next 12 months, after which ISA-UK will look to appoint a new vice president.
Allen Signs – a family-run business founded by Allen’s parents in 1965 – has been associated with what is now the ISA-UK since the early 1970s.
“My father always believed membership of a recognised trade body was vital to show to customers that he was serious about his business and the service he delivered,” said Allen. “Nearly 50 years later, to take over the presidency of that same association is something I’m very proud to do.
“I’d like to give my thanks to Sam for all her hard work over the last two years. I hope I can continue to add value to the association.”
On the appointment, ISA-UK CEO Craig Brown added: “We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming David as our new president. Both the organisation and our many members across the UK will benefit from his incredible knowledge of the industry.
