KGK Genix has named the winners of its Student Retail Design and Careers Competition 2023, which sees four youngsters get a six-week placement at the company.
From artworking, through to production and installation, the competition is designed to provide a well-rounded experience to equip students with the skills and experience they need to kick-start their career. Students took part in a six-month programme, spanning seven key stages, to experience what it is like to work on a live window display creative brief. This year, the brief was to design and realise a creative window display activation for leading sports brand, Nike.
Concluding their research, designs, technical plans and creative print elements, students were tasked with activating their campaigns into our retail mock-shop window and presenting their displays to a panel of judges.
The winner was Katherine Field, who also walked away with a new MacBook, second place was Lorna Storey, who also won £200 Nike vouchers, and in joint third place were Ella Harrison and Alice Nelson.
