Kingsign produces one way vision for Grandsons

Kingsign Signmakers has completed another high profile outdoor signage project, this time for well know car dealership, Grandons of Glanmire, Cork. The work entailed installing a large Contra vision film onto the exterior glass front of the building to advertise a Peugeot 3008 car.
For many years the company, based in Douglas, Cork, specialised in raised and Neon letters. However as Adrian Sheehan, director of Kingsign remarked, that market has faded away in the last few years resulting in the company developing its large format print capabilities for retail and large multinational manufacturing companies.
“The Grandon job fits perfectly into this retail scenario,” Sheehan said. “Most people know about perforated window films applied to the outside of windows to produce so-called “one-way vision” graphics. The idea with this sign was that basically during the day people could see this image of the Peugeot car on Grandsons building and during the night when the lights are on inside it had the opposite effect. People could look through the vinyl itself into the building without seeing the image.”
The graphic measured 8m wide x 4m high and was produced on Kingsign’s Roland Soljet Pro III XC-540 printer/cutter.
Sheehan added: “For retail Kingsign now produces both indoor and outdoor signage, whereas for the multinationals it’s primarily indoor work such as snap frame posters, floor graphics, directional signage, in fact anything a company needs a sign for.”
