Link Strike takes first HP Designjet L25500 in Ireland
Spectrum Digital Services has installed the first 60in HP Designjet L25500 latex wide-format printer into Link Strike, based in Bray Co. Wicklow. The printer will provide an alternative to Link’s existing solvent-based print technology.
Link Strike’s managing director, Paul Burke said: “The HP Designjet L25500 was an obvious choice for our company. We wanted a machine that would offer high quality printing at good production costs and also a printer that didn’t use solvent based inks. Most importantly we needed a device that would give us outstanding durability for both indoor and outdoor media, whilst fulfilling the needs of our environmentally conscious clients. At Link Strike we offer large-format printing solutions at competitive pricing and on a wide range of materials such as posters, banners and canvas and the quality from the new HP Designjet L25500 is second to none. “
Located on the Nangor road, Dublin 12, Spectrum Digital Services has caused quite a stir in the sign and digital marketplace over the last year after it was made exclusive distributor for the Seiko V64s printer in June 2009 quickly followed in November with the announcement that it also had become an official reseller for the HP L25500 latex printer.
John Sweeney, sales director of Spectrum Digital Services, said: “I really think latex technology is going to take off in Ireland although it will take a little time for the market to warm up to it. The great thing from our perspective is to already be on that ladder. Some larger latex machines have already been installed but to be the first to install a mid range one is great because it gives us a platform to work from.”
